We know that figuring out the impact of your investments is a difficult exercise with often vague and subjective conclusions. Therefore, we aim to describe it for you as concretely as possible across our three portfolio themes of climate, gender equality and health.
Impact of your Heath portfolio investments - help to create innovations in healthcare
We aspire to ETFs investing in the healthcare sector, particularly in (but not limited to) companies pushing the boundaries in medical treatment and technology. We believe healthcare plays a key role in the improvement and extension of human life.
This is more difficult to quantify in aggregate as different companies are working on different solutions.
So we read up on what the top holdings of the ETF are up to. They are working on innovative cures for:
- cancer,
- migraines,
- epilepsy,
- among many other diseases.
Examples of the companies in your health portfolio
- Moderna: distributed 807 millions Covid-19 vaccines in 2021;
- AbbVie: received approval for treatment of severe atopic dermatitis in adults and children 12 years of age and older;
- Biohaven: acquired platform for epilepsy, neuropathic pain, and other hyperexcitability disorders including bipolar disorder.
See the impact of your Gender Equality and Climate portfolio. You really are a changemaker!
It’s worth clarifying that this impact area applies to your stock investments. Bond investing is a bit more challenging as the availability is less, but your bond allocation is still invested in ETFs promoting sustainability characteristics, albeit, more general and less specific to the theme.
Your holdings may change over time, but we hope this gives you a good idea of what’s inside your portfolio.
